No city stay would be complete without a visit to the
Farmer's Market. Here there are several - just like home!
Hipster coffee.
Fashionistas.
French pastry.
French cheese.
Venison pie.
Artisanal olives.
Raw truffles.
Real truffles.
And a few international (Columbia y Thailand) preparations.......
And yes, I bought veggies.
And yes, I made supper.
Harissa Romaine Wraps
filling:
1 C. cooked brown basmati rice
1 C. cooked or canned garbanzo beans
1 large carrot, shredded
1 large beet, cooked, peeled and diced
1/2 C. parsley, chopped
2 T. red onion, minced
1 tsp. coriander
1 tsp. cumin
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. pepper
sauce:
1/2 C. plain Greek yogurt
1-2 T. harissa (spicy hot)
2 T. olive oil
juice of one lemon
Place all filling ingredients in large bowl and toss to mix.
Mix together all sauce ingredients and add to bowl.
Stir to mix well and spoon onto Romaine leaves.
Garnish as desired and serve.
